I didn't need more supplements.
I needed a smarter routine.
For a while, I thought improving my wellness routine meant adding something new. Another bottle. Another ingredient. Another step.
Eventually, I realized I wasn't asking the question that mattered most.
My wellness routine was starting to feel like another to-do list.
Somewhere along the way, taking care of myself started to feel surprisingly complicated.
There was always something else I could add. Something for this. Something for that. Something I had heard about. Something someone else recommended.
Individually, every decision seemed small. Together, they were becoming a routine I had stopped questioning.
More products didn't automatically mean a better routine.
That was the shift for me. Instead of asking "What else should I add?" — I started asking "Why is each thing already here?"
MORE
- More bottles
- More steps
- More decisions
- More things to remember
SMARTER
- Understand what I'm choosing
- Know why it's there
- Look at the formula
- Build with intention
This isn't about fewer products being better. It's about personal routine clarity — and choosing with intention.
4 things I actually wanted from my routine
Something I could understand
I wanted to know what I was choosing instead of relying only on the promise on the front.
Something that fit naturally into my day
A routine only works for me if it feels realistic enough to live with.
A formula I could actually read
I wanted to look beyond the product name and understand what was included.
Fewer decisions, not more
I wasn't looking for another complicated system. I wanted more clarity around the one I already had.

Before adding another product to my shelf, I started looking at what was already there.
Not just the number of bottles.
That simple pause changed the way I looked at my routine.
That's when I started looking at the whole formula.
I realized how easy it was to shop by the biggest word on the front of the bottle. "Collagen." But that word alone didn't tell me everything I wanted to know. So I started turning the bottle around — mentally and literally — and looking at what else was there.
The name on the front gets my attention.
The formula helps me understand what I'm actually choosing.

My routine didn't need to get bigger. It needed to make more sense.
That didn't mean throwing everything away or chasing some perfect minimalist routine.
It meant becoming more intentional. Understanding what I was choosing. Knowing why it was there. And being comfortable with the routine I was building for myself.
5 questions I now ask before adding anything to my routine
What's actually inside?
I look beyond the main product name and read the formula.
Am I already taking something similar?
I look at my routine as a whole instead of treating every product as a separate decision.
Do I understand the formula?
If I can't understand what I'm choosing, I slow down and look again.
Does it fit the routine I actually want?
More products do not automatically mean a better routine.
Am I adding this intentionally — or just adding more?
This became one of the most useful questions I started asking myself.
For me, the goal stopped being to build the biggest wellness routine.
The goal became building one I could understand.
I wanted my routine to fit into my life — not take it over.
The routine I actually wanted wasn't one that required constant attention.
I wanted something that could exist naturally alongside the rest of my day.
I still care about what I choose. Probably more than before.
The difference is that now I'm less interested in adding something simply because the promise sounds good. I want to understand what I'm bringing into my routine.
And that starts with looking beyond the front of the bottle.
